The Ministry of Health is carrying out the Gaziantep City Hospital Project with the Public Private Partnership model. The hospital, which will serve Gaziantep and the surrounding region, will have a bed capacity of 1875. The project is planned to be built on a total land area of 330,009 m² in the Şahinbey district of the Gaziantep province.
Gaziantep City Hospital will consist of a Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center, a High-Security Forensic Psychiatric Center, as well as the main hospital building, which will house the General Hospital, Cardiovascular Surgery and Oncology Hospital, Psychiatric Hospital, as well as the Women's and Children's Hospital.
* Main Hospital: 1625 beds
* Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center: 150 beds
* High-Security Forensic Psychiatric Center: 100 beds
This project will include a 265-bed Intensive Care Unit, a 60-bed Newborn Care Unit, and a 4-bed Burn Intensive Care Unit. In addition, the Burns Intensive Care Unit will include 16 patient bedrooms.
There are also plans to build a 20-bed capacity Bone-Marrow Transplant Unit, a 30-seat Hemodialysis Unit, and a 40-seat Chemotherapy Unit. In addition, the project is scheduled to receive the LEED Gold Certificate, one of the world's most prestigious green building certificates, with its environmentally friendly engineering approach and energy-saving solutions.
