Another Rönesans project in Astana, Kazakhstan, Mega Silk Way was built as part of Expo 2017 which drew 2 million visitors from 100 countries. The world-famous British architecture firm Chapman Taylor designed the shopping center, the biggest of its kind in Kazakhstan with a construction area of 140.000 square meters.
The project includes a fashion gallery, shops, a cinema with 10 halls, supermarket and Happylon Playground for kids. The artificial lake in the shopping center is surrounded with cafes and restaurants that have become popular spots in town. The ice rink built over an area of 800 square meters with 400 seats for spectators, will turn into a new concert and circus area.
The facility has an underground connection to Nazarbayev University and fast bus station. The complex also serves the entire city with a parking garage of 2.050 vehicle capacity.
