The Gas to Gasoline (GTG) Plant developed by Rönesans in Ahal, a region in fifty kilometers distance to the Turkmen capital Ashgabat, will be the largest of its kind in the world.
The construction of the Natural Gas to Gasoline Production Plant in Ahal-Ovadandepe, implemented by TurkmenGas State Corporation, commenced in 2014 and was executed by a consortium consisting of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi.
Designed with renowned Topsoe technology from Denmark, the facility processes 1.785 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually, producing 600,000 tons of ЕСО-92 gasoline. The project was partially financed through a Japan International Cooperation Bank (JBIC) loan. This large-scale industrial plant has been recognized in the Guinness World Records as "The World's First Natural Gas to Gasoline Production Plant" and its innovative nature has been verified by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in the United Kingdom. The plant was commissioned in June 2019.
