'Where Did We Leave Off in Education in Villages' The Collaboration Between Rönesans Holding and KODA.
The project 'Where Did We Leave Off in Education in Villages?' by the Rural Schools Transformation Network (KODA), realized in Adıyaman with the generous support of Rönesans Holding, has been successfully completed. During the Adıyaman phase of the project, initiated in June with the backing of Rönesans Holding, the primary objective was to deliver academic and psychosocial assistance to children residing in villages and rural communities severely impacted by the February 6 earthquakes. Additionally, family training sessions were organized to support the parents of these children.
Teachers, volunteers, and parents actively engaged in the project, collaborating seamlessly to ensure an enhanced educational experience for the children in Adıyaman.
Following the earthquake, the project managers at KODA recognized that the initiative could yield more significant benefits in villages with limited facilities compared to urban centers. Rönesans Holding, emphasizing the importance of reaching villages within the earthquake zone, where it is actively pursuing sustainable solutions, made the decision to concentrate on providing beneficial activities, particularly in the realms of children's welfare and psychological support.
The collaboration between Rönesans Holding and KODA, combined with KODA's expertise in village education, shaped the project's scope and implementation. Throughout September, the project, in tandem with KODA and volunteers, concentrated on children's social-emotional learning and post-disaster school readiness, positively impacting approximately 500 children and their families.
