Rönesans finishes the power plant construction in Turkmenistan early despite the pandemic

Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri of Rönesans Holding finished the Zerger Power Plant construction in Turkmenistan in partnership with Sumitomo Corporation & Mitsubishi Power before the project delivery date despite the pandemic. Zerger Power Plant was commissioned with an opening ceremony attended by statesmen and company representatives from Turkmenistan, Japan and Turkey.
Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri successfully completed and delivered the ‘Zerger 3×144 MW (ISO) Simple Cycle Energy Plant Project in Charceva, Turkmenistan in partnership with Sumitomo Corporation & Mitsubishi Power before the project completion date of August 31, 2021.

Called the ‘first Japanese Technology Plant’ in Turkmenistan, the project’s opening ceremony which was held on September 3, 2021, was attended by, among others, Turkmenistan Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Çarymyrat Purçekow Hyvaliyevich, Japanese State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Ejima Kiyoshi, Turkmenistan Lebab Provincial Governor Amangeldiyev Shokhrat Annagurbanovich, Turkmeistan Minister of  Industry and Construction Materials Annamammedov Baymurat Ilmuradovich, Turkmenistan Minister of Energy Hajymuhammet Rejepmyradov Saparmuhammedovich, Turkmenistan Minister of Construction and Architecture Guvanç Orunow Dövletmammedovich, Turkmenhimiya Minister Niyazliyev Niyazli Myradovic, Charge d’ Affaires, Undersecretary of the Embassy of Japan to Turkmenistan Shunsuke Kondo, President of Rönesans Holding Erman Ilıcak, Sumimoto Corporation Central Eurasia President and CEO Ohashi Daisuke, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Vice President and Regional Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa Kentaro Hosomi, Mitsubishi Power CEO Carlos Gonzales Peton, Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Turkmenistan Country Director Mehmet Kayalar, and Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri President of Energy Group Günalp Sağlam.

Following the opening ceremony, the President of Rönesans Holding Dr. Erman Ilıcak got together with Turkmenistan Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Çarymyrat Purçekow Hyvaliyevich, Turkmenistan Minister of Energy Hajymuhammet Rejepmyradov Saparmuhammedovich, and the Japanese delegation at a lunch. Thereafter, Dr. Erman Ilıcak gave a speech at the meeting held with the Turkmenistan field team and thanked them for their successful work.

Completing the EPC Project in cooperation with Sumitomo Corporation and Japanese Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Mitsubishi Power, Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri smoothly delivered all its responsibilities including from the completion of the front and detailed design engineering works of the plant support units to construction design work for turbines and generator, completion and preliminary commissioning process of all construction works for the plant and making the plant ready for operation.
