İzmir Optimum has been awarded the BREEAM In-Use Certification at the highest level, 'Outstanding.' The BREEAM In-Use Certification is awarded by the British Research Establishment (BRE) and evaluates the environmental impact and building management of existing buildings.With the update of the BREEAM In-Use Certification to Commercial Version 6, İzmir Optimum Shopping Mall has become the first building in Türkiye to hold this certification. The evaluation considered various aspects including the management strategies implemented in the building, indoor health and comfort conditions, energy and water consumption, renovation policies for systems, resources, resilience, land use, ecology, and all pollution prevention measures.

- At İzmir Optimum Shopping Mall, the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System is implemented to enhance the building's environmental performance and reduce its environmental impact. The High-Level Maintenance Management Policy ensures that systems operate correctly, creating healthy comfort conditions for visitors.
- The conservation of resources is ensured by choosing materials with low environmental impact and durability in procurement. Additionally, sourcing local materials contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions from transportation.
