Design the Sustainable Future Competition in its 9th Year!

Organized by Rönesans Holding with a focus on sustainability, the inter-university Design the Sustainable Future Competition is being conducted for the 9th year with the theme 'Biomimicry: Creating Impact Inspired by Nature!'

Believing that a sustainable future can be collaboratively shaped with younger generations, we are proud to organize the ninth Design the Sustainable Future Competition. Through this competition, we aim to debate the topic of sustainability, encourage innovative ideas, and both draw inspiration from and inspire young talents.

This year's central theme is Biomimicry

Biomimicry refers to an approach to man-made designs and technologies inspired by the structures, processes, and systems of organisms in nature. This approach aims to develop solutions that meet human needs, inspired by examples of perfect harmony in nature. Biomimicry is based on the idea of learning from design examples in nature and offers innovative solutions in areas such as sustainability, efficiency, and environmental impact.

The competition is open for applications in 3 different categories

Our competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students without any departmental requirements. Entries can be submitted individually or as part of a group, with projects that draw inspiration from nature. Applications are open in three distinct categories until April 30,

  • Building Design
  • Product Design
  • Social Innovation
