Rönesans Holding Appointed Bramske Van Bejima to the Board of Directors

Rönesans Holding appoints Bramske van Beijma to board of directors, to drive forward the company’s sustainability commitments

As the sustainability lead to be appointed to Rönesans’ board, Bramske will spearhead Rönesans’ sustainability goals

Rönesans Holding has announced that Bramske van Beijma – Dudok van Heel will join the board of directors at the helm of its renewable and net zero commitments, taking on the role of the company’s sustainability lead. For Rönesans Holding, the appointment of a sustainability expert reinforces their substantial commitments to reach net zero by 2040 and reduce emissions by 55% in 2030.

Working in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management roles for over a decade, Bramske is well versed in the art of seamless and purposeful campaign integrations. Currently at Ballast Nedam in the Netherlands, a subsidiary of Rönesans Holding, Bramske holds the role of CSR and Digital Transformation & Innovation Director, driving forward a broad span of sustainability initiatives. Her area of expertise includes actioning active CSR policies, managing digital transformation and innovation through sustainability and upholding core company values throughout initiatives and campaigns.

Bramske Will Focus on the Company's Emission Reduction Targets

Bramske’s new role leading sustainability for Rönesans will see her crafting and delivering campaigns that drive progress towards the company’s emission and net zero goals. With social responsibility and sustainability positioned as core pillars for Rönesans, it is well established as a market pioneer across Turkiye, leading the charge on reducing emissions and transitioning to greener energy across operations for the country.
Bramske van Beijma – Dudok van Heel said: ‘I am thrilled to be taking on such an impactful role, leading sustainability for Rönesans Holding and being appointed to the board of directors. The company is already proving to uphold its core values and gear projects towards reaching sustainability goals. I am excited to bring some fresh experience from working in the Netherlands and contribute towards a continued effort to invest in and drive forward sustainable initiatives and campaigns.’

Bramske Will Continue Her Role at Ballast Nedam

At Ballast Nedam, Bramske will continue her role as a Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Digital Transformation & Innovation, leading spearheading a number of notable projects across green energy, energy transition and clean water integrations. She has been a successful leader in Ballast Nedam's sustainability journey, playing a key role in Ballast Nedam's sustainability goals to make a genuine impact. “Within Ballast Nedam, we have set a clear deadline for ourselves: by 2030, we aim to make all construction sites 100% CO2-neutral. We are reducing waste as much as possible and we are increasing the level of circularity. By 2040, we intend to take it a step further and be energy-neutral.” On active Ballast Nedam construction sites, Bramske has been careful to reduce CO2 emissions, choose biofuels and electric machinery where possible and partner with value-aligned companies. One such partnership was with the Emission-Free Network Infrastructure (ENI) for the collaborative project with companies Hochtief and Van Oord, to construct 2.4KM of quays in the Prinses Amaliahaven, port of Rotterdam, Netherlands. She also spearheaded the company wide efforts to shift into green energy, generating energy in-house from solar panels and wind turbines; since 2021, Ballast Nedam has exclusively used 100% green energy across all office, production and construction sites.

Chair of the Board of Directors İpek Ilıcak Kayaalp Expressed Her Satisfaction

İpek Ilıcak Kayaalp, chair of the board of directors, said: ‘Rönesans Holding is delighted to welcome Bramske to the board, to lead sustainability efforts across the company. Her experience and previous projects stand her in incredible stead to have a monumental impact on Rönesans Holding and beyond.’

Moving further afield, Bramske’s impact can be felt globally as she has played a major role in Ballast Nedam winning the tender for the expansion of the Prinses Amaliahaven project, which contributes to the expansion of the port of Rotterdam. With this project, Rotterdam strives to remain the largest port of Europe. Bramske’s efforts led to a sustainable approach on the construction site. Machines run on Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) which reduces CO2 emissions by 90% compared to regular diesel. Additionally, Ballast Nedam mainly works with electric cranes and uses ‘green’ electricity. This way, the construction and development company shares a responsibility to reduce harmful emissions, in line with our client’s ambitions. Last but not least: ECOncrete blocks at two locations serve as artificial reefs to stimulate underwater biodiversity.
