Strategic Growth in Renewable Energy

In line with our renewable energy growth strategy, we have added the Gökçedağ Wind Power Plant, previously operated by Zorlu Energy, to our portfolio. With this investment:

  • Our total installed capacity, consisting entirely of green energy, has reached 577 MW.
  • Our renewable energy capacity has grown nearly 3.5 times in the last two years.
  • Our project portfolio has expanded to 1,400 MW, with eight projects under construction or development.
  • We remain on track toward 2 GW of green energy investments by 2028, contributing to Türkiye’s clean energy transition.


Major International Milestones from Ballast Nedam

Record Residential Transaction for Eleven Square

  • A total of 933 residential units in the Eleven Square project, developed by our group company in the Netherlands, Ballast Nedam Development, have been acquired by Bouwinvest Residential Fund. This is the largest single new‑construction residential transaction ever completed in the Netherlands.
  • With a height of 145 metres, Eleven Square will become the tallest residential project in Amsterdam. Ballast Nedam, known for its work on landmark Dutch projects such as the Gaasperdammertunnel, the country’s longest road tunnel, the energy‑positive Horizons development, and the iconic Johan Cruijff ArenA, continues to deliver sustainable living spaces in the heart of Europe.


1,000 Homes Acquired in Cartesius Utrecht

MRP and Ballast Nedam Development have completed a substantial transaction within the leading area development Cartesius in Utrecht. On behalf of pension fund ABP, CBRE Investment Management has acquired 1,000 rental homes and 250 parking spaces, spread across four building blocks.

Cartesius stands out as a globally recognised Living Blue Zone, designed in collaboration with WHO, UMC Utrecht, and leading research institutions, shaping the future of healthy and sustainable urban living. The homes are designed to achieve the BREEAM-NL In-Use ‘Excellent’ certification.


East and West Connected: Immersed Tunnel Breakthrough in Iraq

Ballast Nedam has successfully placed the 10th tunnel element, completing the immersed tunnel under the Khor al Zubair River in Iraq. This engineering achievement:

  • Connects the east and west sides of the river,
  • Enhances regional logistics, safety, and economic development,
  • Was executed with exceptional engineering accuracy—placing 47,000-tonne elements with 5 mm accuracy, despite operating in one of the most challenging environments in the world.

Launch of Rönesans Reflex: A New Era in Data-Driven Energy Management

Rönesans Enerji is expanding its market presence with its new subsidiary Rönesans Reflex, which is now officially licensed as an electricity aggregator. At the newly launched Reflex Monitoring Center, we:

  • Monitor all power plants 24/7,
  • Analyse market data to optimise production dynamically,
  • Manage Intraday Market operations with data-driven precision. This marks a new era of digitalised, resilient, and sustainable energy management at Rönesans Enerji.
