Renaissance Industrial Plants successfully completed the construction of the multi-purpose hotel and business center that began in September 2018 in Ashkhabad, the capital of Turkmenistan, within the planned time despite the pandemic. The opening ceremony for Karakum Multi-Purpose Hotel and Business Center was held on November 19, 2021 and attended by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Renaissance Holding Dr. Erman Ilıcak.
The ceremony was also attended by members of parliament, ministerial and sectoral executives and military and judicial executives, as well as non-governmental organizations’ and media representatives. After congratulating those who worked at the project, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited and reviewed the hotel and its rooms featuring different amenities with the President of Renaissance Holding Dr. Erman Ilıcak. The guests were served local flavors from Turkmenistan’s rich cuisine at the celebration dinner.
A multi-purpose project representing Turkmenistan’s national culture
As the region’s first multi-purpose project, Karakum Hotel’s design was inspired by Karakum Desert, one of the world’s largest deserts through which the world’s most extensive water canal Karakum Canal runs. XXXXX The complex of Hotel and Business Center was built near Ashkhabad International Airport, at the intersection of Niyazov Street and Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Street and features a ‘main building’, a ‘technical building’ and a multi-purpose building with an architecture of ‘Turkmen Yurt’ which reflects Turkmenistan’s national culture.
The hotel is located on an area of 68,900 square meters in total including an enclosed area of 28,573 square meters and has LED displays on its facades displaying animations of ‘Silk Road’ theme. The hotel has a bed capacity of 204 and 87 rooms including 17 standard rooms, 8 suits, 47 luxury and 14 super luxury and 1 VIP rooms. In addition, the hotel has a multi-purpose business center, a 500-person banquet room, a main restaurant, a breakfast room, an ala carte restaurant, working and meeting rooms for senior state executives and a congress hall which can host forums.
The project also features gifts shops, a bank branch, beauty parlors, a fitness center, in-door swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna, jacuzzi, and a SPA containing steam and ice rooms.
