At the competition, which aims to help university students adopt the “sustainability” culture for future generations to live in healthier and environmentally friendly buildings, young people are expected to create eco-conscious projects that requires resource efficiency and sustainability at every stage and that emphasize social entrepreneurship. In addition to receiving various financial awards, students who rank the highest will have the chance to participate in an internship program and various educational programs at Rönesans Holding.
This year’s concept is “Urban Interaction Center”
Passing down the experience and know-how it has accumulated throughout its history of global success through social responsibility projects, Rönesans Holding kicks off its annual competition with the motto “The Future Begins Here”. Designed in line with the Green Building and Sustainability theme and the principles of sustainability, the competition accepts mixed projects that have been developed in terms of architecture, engineering and society with the overarching Urban Interaction Center concept in 2019. Projects that have been designed especially with an entrepreneurial, unique and bold approach and an awareness for the emerging social issues in the society for which the projects are intended will have the upper hand.Target for a Sustainable Future: 100,000 Young People
Prior to the competition, which has hosted more than 100,000 projects so far, Rönesans Holding, which centralizes its corporate culture around sustainability, is visiting universities across Turkey with an aim to promote the sustainability culture with the seminars it organizes. With the project, which is designed to promote the concept of sustainability among the architects and engineers of the future, the company has reached thousands of students living in various regions of Turkey from Erzurum to Antalya and Diyarbakır to Edirne. Rönesans plans to have reached 100,000 young people with the “Design the Sustainable Future” in its fifth year.Top 3 teams will be awarded
Students who are studying Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Electronic Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Engineering and Urban and Regional Planning at universities in Turkey or Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus can participate in the competition. Participants can apply individually or in teams of no more than five people.
